We take care of most of the prep for you. We’ll move lighter furniture as needed and carefully cover floors, furniture, and belongings with drop cloths and plastic. If possible, we recommend removing small or fragile items ahead of time, but you don’t need to empty the room completely. Our goal is to protect your home and make the process easy on you.

Most single rooms can be completed in one day, including prep, painting, and cleanup. Larger projects or full interior repaints typically take several days, depending on the number of rooms and any prep or repair work needed. We’ll give you a clear timeline during your free in-person estimate so you know exactly what to expect.

We use high-quality interior paints designed for durability, easy cleaning, and long-lasting color. Most modern interior paints are low-odor and low-VOC, making them safe for families and pets. The exact paint and finish (flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss) depends on the room, lighting, and how the space is used, and we’re happy to help guide those choices.

01/31/2026 We had a new sliding glass door installed and needed a painter for the stucco and trim. We also decided to paint the entire kitchen while we were at it. Hall’s Windows recommended Allan Dallman (Paint Doctor). I called him, he personally answered the phone, and met with us the next day. Five days later, after choosing the colors and buying the paint he suggested, the kitchen and stucco look amazing. His crew, Ray and Santiago, were in our home all day Friday. Q: Do I need to move furniture or do any prep before The Paint Doctor arrives?

A: We take care of the heavy lifting and prep work for you!

Our crew will carefully move and cover your furniture, protect your floors with drop cloths, and tape off edges and trim. You’re welcome to clear small items or fragile decor, but we’ll handle the rest – from minor drywall patching and nail hole repairs to sanding and priming as needed.

We pride ourselves on leaving your home spotless except for beautifully painted walls.
